Flavors of cocoa, dried berries; a silky, dense, meaty wine with well-defined fruit aromas, tangy notes, fruit tarts, apples, cedar, and a mineral finish nuanced by crunchy tannins. Food and wine pairing: Serve at 15/17°C, with grilled red meats (rib steak), duck breast, or dishes like Osso buco, chicken Basquaise, etc. Some cheeses will also complement it.
